Worio is an AI vocabulary app for serious German learners. The founder had an ambitious system underneath it, connecting each new word to families and patterns the learner already knows, five practice modes, and import-from-anywhere so any URL, PDF, or shared text becomes study material. The challenge was interface, not ambition: all of that has to feel simple enough that a first-time user can just start.

I owned the UI end to end: screens, the visual system, a component library, and the full range of states that make a learning app feel reliable rather than fragile. I also advised on UX decisions and handled the launch layer a solo founder rarely has time for: App Store assets, preview video, and store photos. The throughline was making a feature-dense tool read as calm and obvious,so the founder could ship, and the learner never has to think about the machinery behind it.
